In compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) directives, Monnify now requires us to provide our users’ BVN and/or NIN before creating new dedicated virtual accounts.
For now, already generated accounts can still receive funds; however, this will soon be discontinued, as all accounts must now have a BVN and/or NIN.
We are currently updating our integration to comply with this new requirement. Once completed, users will need to re-generate their dedicated account numbers.
Additionally, we are working on offering other auto-funding alternatives that do not require BVN/NIN, including:
- Multi-channel Payment Options via Paystack, supporting payments via Bank Transfer, USSD, Card, Capture, QR Code and more.
- Payment via Providus Bank Dedicated Accounts.
- Monnify Single-Use Dynamic Account (coming soon).
We strongly encourage you to make use of any of the available auto-funding options and avoid paying into our regular bank accounts, as payments to these accounts require manual verification, which may take time.
